Davis hopes losses provide motivation

Losing a sixth game by seven or fewer points -- this time, 27-25 at Georgia Tech on Saturday -- is going to burn, North Carolina coach said. Maybe that's not such a bad thing -- not if it lights a fire in the Tar Heels' bellies for next season, Davis reasons. "Maybe that's what this season's about -- to put that burning passion of just [not] being close enough, that next year, there will be no close games," Davis said. (Raleigh News & Observer)
