Tar Heels struggle on the interior in defeat to Kentucky
Posted Dec 3, 2011
Why the Tar Heels lost: The story of this defeat begins and ends on the inside. Kentucky made things happen down low – both on offense and defense – and UNC didn’t. At least, the Tar Heels didn’t often enough to win. The Wildcats outscored UNC 36-14 in the paint, which is a bad enough stat if you happen to be a Carolina fan (or player or coach).
