Echoes of better times

When Larry Fedora walked to the podium and spoke during his introduction as Carolina's new football coach on Friday, echoes from December 1987 sounded. That was when another young head coach landed his first big opportunity at what is now known as a BCS school. By the time Fedora had finished speaking, the Tar Heel supporters in the room were ready to suit up and hit the field. (Tar Heel Illustrated)
