Fedora could make early impact

Larry Fedora can make an immediate impact for UNC on special teams. Southern Miss ranked in the top 10 in special-teams efficiency in 2010 and '11, while North Carolina struggled woefully in that category. The difference between the two units amounted to nearly 40 points in scoreboard value on the year, and an average special-teams performance would have earned the Tar Heels a victory against the Virginia Tech Hokies late in the year.
