Larry Fedora and the Spread Offense at UNC

Larry Fedora joins about half of college football in running the spread offense – ESPN identified 48 teams using a variation of it 2009. More specifically, Fedora is describing the one-back spread offense, that grew out of Jack Elway trying to showcase his son John's talent in high school. The key thing about this compared to a lot of spread offenses, is that the quarterback doesn't necessarily have to be mobile. (Carolina March)
