Dwight Jones endured military school before enrolling at North Carolina, and then spent two quiet, anonymous seasons with the Tar Heels before emerging to become one of the best receivers in school history. After all he'd been through - and there have been many "naysayers," Jones said - he met another obstacle this week when he jeopardized his eligibility for the Independence Bowl.
