Giovani Bernard recovered from a devastating knee injury that wiped out his 2010 season to become just the second freshman Tar Heels tailback (Amos Lawrence, 1977) in history to earn first-team All-ACC honors. However, Bernard's breakthrough 2011 campaign and bright future on the gridiron isn't what makes North Carolina's interim head coach Everett Withers gush.
