Missouri's spread presents a challenge for UNC

When sophomore defensive end Kareem Martin and his teammates on the North Carolina defense began to study film of Missouri, they knew the Tigers ran a spread offense. What they didn't know, however, is just how much Monday's Independence Bowl opponent relied on its running game. "With it being a spread team, you expect a lot more passing, but they surprisingly run it a lot," Martin said. (Raleigh News & Observer)
