Tar Heels tie mark with 25th straight home win
Posted Dec 29, 2011
Even though Elon didn’t put up much of a fight, Thursday’s 100-62 victory was a noteworthy one for the North Carolina basketball team. It was the Tar Heels’ 25th straight at home, trying the longest winning streak in Smith Center history. They also won 25 in a row in the 26-year-old building between March 4, 1992 and Feb. 12, 1995 sandwiched around a pair of losses to Georgia Tech.
