Ken Browning set UNC longevity mark for an assistant coach

Among the apparent victims of the turnover in North Carolina’s football staff is Durham native and longtime Northern High coach Ken Browning. The 65-year-old Browning was not retained from the staff of interim head coach Everett Withers by new coach Larry Fedora, ending an 18-year run with the Tar Heels that made him the longest-tenured assistant coach in school history, according to UNC.
