Rapid Reaction: UNC 83, Boston College 60
Posted Jan 7, 2012
Boston College, which started five freshmen, stuck around early -- even taking a 9-8 lead about five minutes into the game on a 3-pointer from junior Matt Humphrey. But it didn’t last. Harrison Barnes’ transition dunk with 7:28 left in the first half gave the Tar Heels their first double digit lead (25-14), and Barnes had 12 points en route to a 40-27 halftime advantage.
