Tough way for Eagles to learn

Steve Donahue could have found a better place to introduce his freshman-laden lineup to the rigors of ACC play. Third-ranked North Carolina — the preseason ACC favorite — will beat better teams than Boston College at the Smith Center. The surprise yesterday was not that the Tar Heels defeated the Eagles, 83-60, but that they had so much trouble doing it. (Boston Herald)
