Deon Thompson understands the stage he’s on and the remarkable opportunity at his fingertips. You can tell from his body, now a lean and sleek 240 pounds, slimmed down nearly 35 pounds from early last season. You can tell from Thompson’s swagger. “I’ve seen what I’m capable of doing,” he says. The opportunity for substantial playing time is what Thompson has longed for.
