Adjusting to adjustments

Butch Davis has made plenty of adjustments of his own to keep the Tar Heels in the bowl hunt heading into the season's 10th game. During North Carolina's open date three weeks ago, Davis was in a dire personnel shortage at cornerback. Davis moved freshman Charles Brown to cornerback from the nickel back position he'd been playing. Then Davis moved Richie Rich from tailback to nickel back. (Charlotte Observer)
