With Dexter Strickland out for the year, Tar Heels face choices
Posted Jan 20, 2012
North Carolina confirmed what most expected on Friday night, announcing that junior guard Dexter Strickland will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL. Strickland left Thursday night's 82-68 victory at Virginia Tech after his right knee buckled as he drove to the basket. The Tar Heels have options to fill Strickland’s void, but none dovetail quite as nicely with the other starters as the selfless Strickland.
