It’s no surprise that Harrison Barnes’ rate of 3-point attempts has dropped dramatically as a sophomore (from 39.2% of all attempts as a freshman to 20.5% this season). So where are those extra attempts being taken? The majority (9%) are being used from mid-range distance (between 10 and 20 feet). Barnes is also using about 5% more of his total FGAs from both close range and 5-10 feet (generally floaters/post moves). (Chapelboro.com)
