Tar Heels held in high regard as baseball season approaches

The Tar Heels captured 51 victories a season ago and Collegiate Baseball Newspaper ranks North Carolina No. 4 in the preseason. Baseball America ranks the Tar Heels ninth. Fall practice: North Carolina coach Mike Fox was pleased with the way things went. One key factor, Fox said, was getting newcomers acclimated to the pace of the way they do things and the level of competition. (Wilmington Star News)
