For seventh-ranked North Carolina, the game offers a glimpse into how the Tar Heels (16-3, 3-1) will respond to the loss of defensive-minded shooting guard Dexter Strickland, who tore the ACL in his right knee a week ago at Virginia Tech. Sharp-shooting sophomore Reggie Bullock assumes Strickland's spot in the starting lineup.
