Tar Heels turn back Wake Forest

Long stretches of empty possessions and erratic shooting had North Carolina slogging though some of its worst struggles on offense this season. And yet, save for Harrison Barnes’ tweaked ankle, the fifth-ranked Tar Heels emerged unscathed Tuesday night. UNC relied on defense and Wake Forest’s own inadequacies to win 68-53 at decidedly docile Joel Coliseum.
