Tar Heels put away Deacons despite frigid night
Posted Feb 1, 2012
No. 5 UNC showed since the start of conference play that it could win when it makes shots. Tuesday night at Wake Forest, the Tar Heels showed they could win even when shooting a season-low 31.0 percent. The Tar Heels went exactly nine minutes without a field goal early in the second half but still cruised to a 68-53 victory at Lawrence Joel Coliseum because Wake Forest was even worse.
