UNC Football Signing Day Observations

Given the obstacles and his staff had to work with — including three fewer scholarships and less than a month on the job — the new Tar Heel coach put together a bang-up first recruiting class. He was successful at convincing 14 previously committed players to stay with the program. Then he convinced quarterbacks to flip from East Carolina and James Summers to switch from N.C. State, adding depth to a position that was dangerously thin. (Wilmington Star News)
