Three to know: North Carolina at Maryland

Much of the talk leading up to today’s game centers around the deep ties between North Carolina coach Roy Williams and his former assistant, Mark Turgeon, who now helms Maryland. But the bonds between North Carolina point guard Kendall Marshall and Maryland’s Pe’Shon Howard are also worth noting. The pair were teammates at points on the AAU circuit and, according to Marshall, briefly roomates. (Fayetteville Observer)
