After dominating No. 5 North Carolina for the first 30 minutes, Maryland squandered a nine-point second-half lead and, with it, a chance to topple its first ranked opponent of the season. The result was a second consecutive heart-rending defeat, with Maryland falling to North Carolina, 83-74, on Saturday at Comcast Center. (Washington Post)
