Strickland Undergoes Knee Surgery

University of North Carolina men's basketball guard Dexter Strickland underwent meniscus repair and reconstructive surgery on his right anterior cruciate ligament on Thursday morning. Team orthopaedist Dr. Alex Creighton performed the surgery at UNC Hospitals. Strickland's recovery time has yet to be determined. The junior from Rahwah, N.J., suffered the injury as he drove to the basket in a game at Virginia Tech on Jan. 19.
