Tar Heels extend streak against Tigers
Posted Feb 19, 2012
North Carolina sputtered along for most of the afternoon on Saturday, but generated a late burst to pull away from Clemson and put another notch on one of college basketball's dominant winning streaks. UNC won 74-52 to keep Clemson winless on its campus in 56 games. The Tar Heels didn't allow a field goal in the final 7:42 and gave up only five free throws in that time to keep their share of first place in the ACC.
