Marcus Paige uses his head on, off the court
Posted Feb 24, 2012
Marcus Paige is a basketball prodigy. He has signed to play for coach Roy Williams at North Carolina. The time for recreational reading and blending into the background won’t last much longer. “If I wasn’t playing basketball, I’d probably be trying to find a college close to home - and I don’t know what I’m going to study, but I’m interested in English,” said Paige, whose team plays Iowa City High tonight in a substate semifinal. “My friends give me crap or call me nerdy because I like to read for fun.”
