Posted Nov 4, 2007
North Carolina was expected to roll over Shaw University in dominating fashion on Saturday night, but the top-ranked Tar Heels only led 50-34 with 16:54 remaining in the game, forcing Roy Williams to clear the bench to make his first statement of the year. The newly-inducted Hall of Fame coach pulled out Deon Thompson, Bobby Frasor, Quentin Thomas, William Graves and Danny Green following a missed 25-footer and a turnover, highlighting the early season issues plaguing the Tar Heels.
