Deacons knock off Tar Heels in soccer

The No. 2-ranked Wake Forest men’s soccer team defeated North Carolina 2-0 in an ACC match last night at Spry Stadium. Junior defender Lyle Adams scored the winning goal with the first shot of the game at the five-minute mark, deflecting a free kick by Pat Phelan through the North Carolina defense. The goal was the third of the season for Adams.
