Kennedy Meeks leads West Charlotte past Allerik Freeman's Olympic team
Posted Feb 29, 2012
West Charlotte (26-5) avenged an earlier loss to Olympic and won its 16th straight game, on the back of a 20-point, 13-rebound performance from junior center Kennedy Meeks, and it advanced to its third straight regional final. "This feels good," said Meeks, the most valuable player of the 2011 state final. Olympic star junior Allerik Freeman, a national top-20 recruit, shot 2-for-10 and finished with eight points.
