With an injured John Henson riding the bench and with two-thirds of UNC’s frontcourt in foul trouble Saturday, coach Roy Williams had no choice but to dip into his thin bench. As N.C. State positioned itself to tie the game with mere seconds on the clock, Watts intercepted a Scott Wood pass and all but sealed UNC’s 69-67 victory.
