Tar Heels Take Top Seed In NCAA Midwest Region

UNC grabbed the No. 1 seed in Midwest Region of the 2012 NCAA Tournament, the NCAA announced on Sunday evening. The Tar Heels will open play with a second-round game on Friday in Greensboro against the winner of the first-round game between Vermont and Lamar. "We are extremely pleased that the NCAA selection committee felt we deserved a number one seed," head coach Roy Williams said on Sunday night. (Tar Heel Blue)
