Marcus Paige named Iowa's Mr. Basketball


of Linn-Mar of Marion was named “Mr. Basketball” Monday by the Iowa Newspaper Association. The North Carolina-bound guard averaged 28.4 points per game this season, and started on four state tournament teams at Linn-Mar. Paige finished as the career scoring leader in the Cedar Rapids Metro with 1,695 points. He has been selected to play in the McDonald’s All-American Game in Chicago on March 28 and the Jordan Brand Classic in Charlotte, N.C. (Des Moines Register)
