Although the reduction of 15 scholarships over the next three years will have the most far-reaching effect on the Tar Heels, the sanction that hit Jonathan Cooper and his fellow rising seniors the hardest was the postseason ban that will prevent them from finishing their careers in a bowl – regardless of how many games they win. “The initial reaction was shock and disappointment,” said Cooper.
