Coach Butch Davis said depth is hurting the Tar Heels' special teams play, because so many players, including freshmen, are having to do double-duty -- starting on offense or defense, then playing special teams. "They're getting taxed,'' he said. The team, he said, is three or four linebackers short, plus two cornerbacks and two safeties short "of having the depth and talent to be able to augment and help our special teams."
