High school teammates Barnes, McDermott ready to do battle

If Creighton’s Doug McDermott has a big game Sunday and puts a second-round end to North Carolina’s national championship hopes, Harrison Barnes will have no one to blame but himself. That’s because it was Barnes who served as McDermott’s basketball motivation when the two were teammates at Ames High School in Iowa.
