McDermott father-son pairing took winding road to Creighton

Greg McDermott was like every other major college basketball coach three years ago. Among the two class of 2010 prospects at Ames (Iowa) High School, he most-coveted Harrison Barnes. The other recruit was McDermott’s son, Doug. McDermott, the Iowa State’s head coach, didn’t even offer his son a scholarship. No worries. (Daily Press)
