An Atlanta defensive back picked UNC over Tennessee and South Carolina. Top basketball recruit Nerlens Noel dropped North Carolina from his list and narrowed it to three. Mark Gottfried wasn’t N.C. State’s first choice, but he’s doing the right stuff and has a big recruiting class lined up. Shabazz Muhammad is weighing his recruiting options, which include Duke.
