Jabari Parker named Gatorade Illinois Boys Basketball Player of the Year

Simeon's Jabari Parker tore it up this summer playing for the USA U16 Team. He then led the Wolverines to the city championship and their third straight IHSA title. He has now been named the Gatorade Illinois Boys Basketball Player of the Year. Parker averaged 19.5 points, 8.9 boards, 4.9 assists, 3.3 blocks and 1.4 steals for Simeon, which finished with a 33-1 record. He shoots 55.2 percent from the floor and 41.8 percent from behind the 3-point line.
