Heels Eager to Move Beyond Close Losses
Posted Oct 26, 2007
The last meeting between the North Carolina and Wake Forest football teams took place the week that UNC players learned of head coach John Bunting’s impending termination. The Tar Heels played one of their better games of the season, but made untimely mistakes and lost at home, 24-17. The 2007 Tar Heels are familiar with close games that could have been won, but the players and new coach Butch Davis exude a confidence and winning attitude that never existed one year ago.
