With about eight minutes to go in the game, Bill Self had his team play a triangle-and- two defense. From that point on, the Heels were outscored 14-3. It was obvious that this particular defense confused UNC. Self had his team guard Harrison Barnes and either Reggie Bullock or P.J. Harrison, depending on who was in the game, man-to- man. The other three defenders played a 1-2 zone.
