Greg Little, a 6-foot-3, 210-pound all-around athlete from Durham, was rated among the top two or three football players in North Carolina last year as a high-school senior. The biggest problem for UNC was that he had orally committed to Notre Dame, and it appeared Carolina had lost out on yet another big-time in-state player in football when signing day approached in February.
