Haase's departure sprouts new branches for Williams coaching tree

When UAB announces Jerod Haase as its new men’s basketball coach on Tuesday, it will have a ripple effect throughout the North Carolina coaching tree. Haase’s departure not only opens up a spot on the Tar Heels’ bench, it creates another set of opportunities for the fraternity of young coaches that spent time with Williams at Kansas and North Carolina.
