Durell Mapp packed his bags, ready to head off to Fork Union Military Academy. He had hoped to spend his first year out of high school somewhere else -- on a Division I football team, preferably -- but he saw his upcoming year at Fork Union as an opportunity. No coaches in Division I wanted him on their football team? He would show them. Then the phone rang, and Mapp's life changed.
