Tar Heels call audible as Charlotte scrimmage is canceled

Coach Larry Fedora has spent the offseason overhauling UNC’s offense and defense and preaching a fast tempo. Thursday he showed his team another aspect of football — adjusting on the fly. UNC’s planned two-hour, 150-play scrimmage at Mallard Creek High School was cancelled because of lightning. Instead, the team held a 45-minute autograph session for fans in the school’s cafeteria.
