Brice Johnson having trouble putting on pounds

North Carolina’s basketball coaches want Brice Johnson to gain weight. But it’s not going to happen this weekend. Johnson, who is 6-foot-9 and 210 pounds, has tried unsuccessfully to bulk up since signing with the Tar Heels last fall. But a schedule that includes track practices and preparations for Saturday’s Jordan Brand Classic (ESPN, 7 p.m.) at Time Warner Cable Arena has made it difficult.
