Renner shines with asterisk for Tar Heels in spring football game

On the surface of Saturday’s spring game at North Carolina, quarterback Bryn Renner looks primed for a huge season in first-year coach Larry Fedora’s system. The junior impressively completed 23 of 28 passes for 295 yards and two touchdowns, leading three straight touchdown-scoring drives in the second quarter of a 44-21 victory for the blue team.
