Riley Ferguson, Connor Mitch battle for top spot among NC QBs

More than 50 prospects with BCS offers are expected at Buford High School near Atlanta this weekend for Friday’s Elite 11 regional quarterback camp and Saturday’s Nike Football Training Camp. One of the more compelling storylines is the unofficial competition for top N.C. quarterback between Riley Ferguson (Butler/Matthews) and Connor Mitch (Wakefield/Raleigh). Ferguson was the top passer at last year’s Elite 11 and has a track record of thriving at these events. Yet Mitch feels he belongs at the top of the state’s list. (Carolina Blue)
