Seven down; five to go

In what appears to be a trend for this season, the Tar Heels came up short again last Saturday in their "Battle of the Carolina's". Butch Davis pulled out all of the stops with trick plays, formation changes and the kitchen sink, out-gadget-playing even the 'Ol Ball Coach, Steve Spurrier. After all of the pre-game hype about the last game Spurrier won in Kenan Stadium (the infamous 1989 "scoreboard" team picture ACC Championship at Duke), this game reflected the grit and determination of this year's Tar Heel squad.
