Emanuel, Tar Heels win duel with Devils
Posted May 12, 2012
Duke’s Marcus Stroman is the top draft prospect in the ACC, but UNC’s Kent Emanuel was the more effective pitcher Friday night. Emanuel gave up one run in eight innings as the Tar Heels defeated their rivals 2-1 in a matchup of aces at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The sophomore lefty allowed five hits and one walk, struck out six and threw 110 pitches.
