Bill Friday in fair condition Sunday

Bill Friday’s condition has been upgraded from serious to fair, a spokeswoman for UNC Hospitals said Sunday. The former UNC-system president had a permanent pacemaker placed Thursday at UNC Hospitals and his condition has been improving since, spokeswoman Stephanie Mahin said (Daily Tar Heel)
